SUMMARY

Golden Owl Digital is looking for a Mid-level Video Editor who can produce high-quality video content through strong editing, post-production, and visual storytelling skills.

In this role, you will be responsible for transforming raw footage and creative concepts into polished video outputs for marketing campaigns, client projects, internal branding, and company communication. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, creative, efficient, and able to collaborate closely with Marketing, Content, Design, and Account teams to deliver videos that meet both creative direction and business goals.

Your Responsibilities

● Edit complete videos: cutting, transitions, graphics, color grading, sound design — ensuring technical quality, correct format, and brand alignment. Videos primarily serve: performance ads (Meta/TikTok Ads), short-form social content (TikTok/Facebook/Youtube), brand/case study videos, and internal communications.

● Proactively propose concepts, storyboards, and storytelling directions with the Content/Marketing teams — not just execute pre-written briefs. Contribute editing solutions that improve clarity and viewer engagement.

● Applying AI to Production: Use AI tools (image, video, voice generation, auto-captioning, etc.) to improve visual/audio quality and speed up the editing workflow — especially on budget- or time-constrained projects.

● Maintain an organized workflow for footage, project files, and version control, while proactively coordinating timelines, feedback, and revisions with relevant teams.

● Support filming and photography — mainly using a smartphone, with professional equipment (camera, gimbal, lighting) used as needed for specific shoots.

You Are a Good Fit If You

● Have a creative storytelling mindset: can turn raw footage, briefs, and ideas into clear, engaging, well-structured videos.

● Have a strong visual sense: attentive to pacing, composition, color, sound, typography, and motion — both on set and in the edit.

● Are detail-oriented: careful with file management, version control, export settings, and quality checks.

● Are comfortable with AI tools: willing to experiment with and integrate AI into your daily workflow.

● Proactive ownership: You take responsibility for video quality, timelines, and improvements instead of only executing assigned edits.

● Personal portfolio required.

● Minimum 2 years of experience as a Videographer and Video Editor (including basic 2D design/motion graphics, photography, filming, and editing skills).

● Proficiency in video editing software such as CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects or similar tools.

● Strong knowledge of post-production techniques, including color grading, motion graphics, sound design, transitions, effects, and sound mixing.

● Good technical understanding of cameras, audio equipment, lighting setups, and production workflows is preferred.

● Experience with at least one AI video production tool (e.g. Kling, ElevenLabs, HeyGen, Sora…) is a plus. 

● Experience at a production house or marketing/creative agency is a plus.
